‘The unauthorised collaborations’ has focused on the deconstruction of text with the aim of understanding its individual parts but more specifically the reconstruction of texts with the aim of highlighting the ambiguity of authorship and language. The most prolific version of this activity is ‘Unauthorised collaboration #6 in which i completely deconstructed Joyce’s ‘Chamber music’ and wrote a new book using a single rule: I had to use the exact same language and punctuation as Joyce had in his original book, nothing was to be added or subtracted. The book was then painstakingly written on a typewriter and the cover was letterpressed by hand, there is only one copy.
